A2Z FundRaisers
- Although A2Z FundRaisers was not christened until 2017, As a family we have been raising funds for good causes for many years. The beginning was possibly in 1993 when Pauline Samuels was a key member of our sons' school's parents' committee that raised a record breaking £6500 at the summer school fete. Very sadly, Pauline passed away in 2008 following many years of being treated with breast cancer.
- Since 2008, many good causes have benefitted from the efforts of friends and the A2Z FundRaisers team. Over the years A2Z FundRaisers have offered a number of types of fund- raising events, which have included Fun Casino nights, Bingo, Fun Bingo (yes, there is a difference!), Quizzes, Race Nights, Theatre Trips. Even during lockdown, Horse & Dog Racing events have kept us busy, as well as Scratch cards & Raffles. We are looking forward to getting back to supporting the many good causes that are desperate for funds.
- 2022 has proved to be a frustrating year for all kinds of reasons for many people. Although It did not stop us organising a couple of race nights or our popular online race events & Super6 competition using SkyBet free to take part fund raiser.
- 2023 and already we have Pick your favourite charity Family Fun race/games night, Valentines Lunch, the ever popular Runaways once again treating us to the sounds of the 50's/ 60's/70's legends The Shadows, plus the very likelihood of a Street party following the Coronation on 6th May 2023.
- 2024 Gets off to a flying start with a Quiz at Clock House Bowls club Upminster. Followed by a Race afternoon at the British Legion Upminster which raised £172 from "bets" alone. British Legion very kindly donated 50% of proceeds to Crisis at Christmas. This was very quickly followed up with a Quiz supporting Thousand4£1000 homeless charity based in Brighton Sussex raising over £1800.
